Yeah, to me it's the front of the RG5320 Cosmic Shadow that is horrible. As for me, I have my two RG550 Genesis and a great (used prestige) RG752 from 2017. So my guitar budget is not going to be going to Ibanez. Probably get more PRS instead. They make at least one color for each model that I...
The angle that I took this photo at makes it looks like the amp is much bigger than the cab, but in reality the amp is just 2" taller... looks better in person.
*** UPDATE *** Ok, so I bought the EVH 112 on sale, but, it didn't have the speaker that it's advertised as having... Not sure exactly why that is, and the store said they would order a new one and let me just swap it when it comes in. So the cab came with a Celestion G12H-EVH instead of the...
Every version of the Iconic amps uses 6L6 power tubes, including this 15w which has a single 6L6. Hmm, I think I vaguely remember James mentioning something about that regarding the presence control not doing much. But it could be different on the 15w, cause it's pretty drastic between 11 and...
Ok, so I have the 5150 Iconic 15w combo. It has an internal 10" (16 ohms, 40 watts) speaker which sounds pretty good, but we all know more speakers == better. So I'd like to get a 1x12 extension cab to sit under it. I think I'm mostly sold on the EVH 5150 III 112 cab. It's got a Celestion G12H...
I'll echo other: have fun with it. The drums you chose fit, they work. But you seem to be continuing to fish for advice in hopes that someone will help you make your drums god-tier. I thinks that's the transgression here. To summarize, your drums work. The end. If you want them to be better...
I believe the 10th anniversary ones have the American electronics in them. Whereas the regular S2 models share the hardward (not tuners?) and electronics with the SE line. So I think that's a pretty big consideration.
So I came to this thread to check out what ESP fans are saying, cause I usually only frequent Ibanez discussions but I wanted to see what fans of other brands are saying. Turns out this thread is basically the same the the Ibanez 2024 thread - complaining and disappointment. Kinda interesting...
I know saying it looks "terrible" is a bit extreme on my part. I'm just a long time Ibanez fan who's disappointed in Ibanez's offerings in recent years and venting my frustrations with comments like that. When you see the incredible finishes and specs of older (discontinued) models, it's...
I feel like Dunlop is leaving a lot of money on the table by not releasing limited edition colours of picks. Especially the signature picks. I love the Petrucci Flow and Tritone picks. If they released different colours this idiot (me) will buy those all day. Edit: maybe not a lot of money, but...
Here in Canada, the Grovers are about $100 CAD, and the PRS SE locking tuners are $150 CAD. The Grovers come with kidney bean shaped keys though, which don't fit the aesthetic IMO. The PRS ones seem affordable enough, although I imagine they are the same quality as the ones that are on there...
