No seriously, hours have been spent on this amp, but it sounds boxy, dull and pathetic... I've tried EQ, to tighten lower end, TS-9 and no improvements... Could it be broken?

Unless someone can tell me why there is a shedload of flab lowerend?

Dude settings dont just appear overnight... They take longer to get right than for Lars to stop bitching... Best bit of advice I can give is SAVE EVERYTHING you come up with... Otherwise you might regret trashing your perfect tone.

I stick by GE-7. It really helps to keep your tone tidy straight from the first gain stage.

Thats right, as the Triple Rec has 3. The Dual rec sounds like the amp for you, Its one of the best amps I've ever used, good price too, but I use low gain, so I really couldnt tell you what bonus you'd get with a triple.
