I found a mint, used Holcomb PRS Limited Edition. Apparently it's coming with 10 gauge strings tuned to drop C.... I've never used 10's for drop C, but apparently that's what Mark uses in the studio (he uses 11's live). Anyone have experience playing in Drop C on 10 gauges with a 25.5 scale?
I think it's really lame that if you want a good looking top, you basically have to get the insanely overpriced version, with the P logo and the engraved pickups, neither of which I want. On the other end, I don't want to pay $2700 for a Jackson that has a matte top..... Ugh. 2k would be a much...
100% agree. I think it's a little ridiculous how much these tops vary. I've seen some amazing ones, and some awful ones. Must not be much quality control over at Jackson. This top..... This guitar needs to be sent back to Jackson...
