im thinking of just buying the boss EQ stomp box, and throwing out all the bass. But i dont know if it will give me the sound i want. I'm afraid the gain will be too much

so my band uses the 'lo fi' effect quite a bit. We used to use 6505's and we just had the crunch channel dialed in to sound like the lo fi effect, but we're switching to Fireballs, and I want to find some kind of stomp box to recreate the lo fi thing, just better. Any suggestions?
