Can this head do death metal? I heard some clips from Rocksolidamps.com but dont know how much tweaking was done to make it sound good. I like what I have heard so far from those sound samples. Anyone have any other extreme metal samples of this head I can hear?
A friend of mine Scott Shellby (Rigor Mortis,Gamaicide,Texas Metal Alliance) plays one and its sounds badass! I also saw another band use it when we saw Decrepit Birth a few weeks ago cant remember their name but his sound was badass also. Been thinking about getting one myself. The youtube vids...
Last night I was at band practice and all the sudden my digitech 2112s volume starting vading in and out. Could this be a pre-amp tube problem? I checked the head and cables and everything else was good. I also notced that when I crank the volume up at band practice that my rack case was getting...
Pretty shitty still in my opinion. I must say though that I believe Metallica will come out with a total thrash cd again before they call it quits. And people will rave about it. Then they will call it quits and people will hate on them for not carrying on with another follow up cd.
Thats true. I have also have heard people say the quality sucks with plastic knobs and such. Hey to me that doesnt matter. The Peavey 5150s have plastic knobs as well as many other so called quality amps. I might just have to take a chance and get one. Or should I get a Engl FireBall?
I have been thinking about getting a Bugera but hearing about people having problems with them is very discouraging. They look good maybe sound good but break down too much. If this is true then why do they advertise their amps that they have high quality componets?
All the interviews I have read Chuck said he used the Marshall 8200 head and the full size 4x12 Marshall cabs. I know on the Human cd he said in a interview he used randall amps for the recording. Live Chuck had the sound guy do his effects for him.
I never heard of Deicide playing through Randall amps. I have played shows with those guys back in the day. I remember one of them was using a Marshall head with 2 Marshall cabs and the other guy was using a dual recto head and mesa cabs. Couldnt see exactly what was on their pedal board. I also...

Oh man that sucks. Those heads are starting to become harder to find. I picked one up for $400. The guy told me it had a few scratches on it and he sent me some pics of the head which looked real dirty. Anyways after it came in there where no scratches on it and he had cleaned it very well. The...
You know a friend of mine has alot of Ampeg heads. He has like 4 of them from the SS and VH series. I never knew Ampeg made a VH 130c head. I thought that was weird. It says VH-130 on one of his heads. I will have to ask him about it. I think he told me one time before its the same as the...
The Ampeg vh-140c is an awesome head for death metal. I own one and couldnt be much happier with it. I run a sonic maximizer in the effects loop and a noise gate pedal and it fucking slays. I have played all kinds of amps and pre amps and pedals in front of amps and for my taste in death metal...
I have a footone controller I am trying to sell. It is in mint condition and barely used. Nothing wrong with it and it looks brand new. My 2101 took a dump and the S disc is going out and since I already have something else to play on I figure someone needs the foot contoller. Let me know if you...
Cool man. The last time I saw Mortal Decay was when a guy named Josh was doing Vocals. That was awhile back. I use to play in Prophecy and was on the "Our Domain" cd. We played quite a few fests with you guys I think. Now I play in Creophagy MySpace.com - CREOPHAGY - NORTH RICHLAND HILLS...
