Yeah there isn't much info on them on the web. Some I Love Fuzz forumites have a few of his pedals and love them so feel free to ask there! Also the video demo by Kayzer is great, he is definitely one of my favorite demo guys on the web!
Demos are recorded with the my VHT Special 6 combo. Then recorded with an SM57 plugged into the line in on my laptop. Not the best way to record but it's all I have.
Mountainking Electronics Megalith, a thick, saturated fuzz with low end for days, it just crushes :hbang: EffectsWire: Review: Mountainking Electronics Megalith Let me know what you all think about the review/pedal/recordings/my playing!
This thread needs a bump! Huge Electric Wizard fan right here. Been digging Dopethrone (the band, you can obviously tell who they are influenced by) and Acid King for a more stonery vibe.
Fuzzhugger Upper, will add octave up and texture to any dirt pedal. It can be used by itself as well. FuzzHugger.com Effects Shop - FuzzHugger(fx) - Devi Ever - Mellowtone - Dwarfcraft - Seppuku fx - Smallsound/Bigsound - Fuzz Boutique Pedals
EffectsWire: An Interview with Rick Holt- The Force Behind Frequency Central I did an interview with the guy behind FC, he builds amazing custom pedals and mini tube amps! You should definitely check out the interview and browse his site, I'm having him build me a custom delay that is looking...
I'll admit my recording sounds aren't the best and it sounds bigger in person but I know plenty of other players who just don't dig the Pharaoh either (and they love fuzz), so you aren't alone :yesway:
EffectsWire: Catalinbread Manx Loaghtan Fuzz Review Damn good fuzz, click the link to read more and listen to some sounds If you're looking to get into fuzz, this might be the one for a lot of metal players. It's got a great fuzzy texture, plenty of gain and it's plenty tight for faster...
Figured this would be cool for any Dr. Scientist fans: An interview with Ryan and Tanya, the couple behind Dr. Scientist! EffectsWire: Dr. Scientist Interview
All of my tone comes from pedals! I love collecting fuzz pedals to get different tones. Sure it's a little more expensive than getting a modeler but IMO it sounds better (I have yet to hear any modeler that does thick, nasty, noisy fuzz that matches my pedals). I play a VHT Special 6 combo with...
Thanks for the support! I have so many reviews planned for this summer, it's a bit overwhelming, sucks that I need to have my laptop repaired :realmad: If anyone hasn't checked it out already, here's what I have lined up for this summer: EffectsWire: It's been a while folks... Also I'll be...
You have good taste in fuzz my friend :agreed: Nice to see some Dr. Scientist love as well, have you heard of his upcoming distortion/clean/eq pedal? It's called the Elements and it's going to be great. Ryan said he'll start building them in about a month. Oh and if you're looking for...
Just trying to turn more of the ERG players onto fuzz. I know a majority of players here are into djent and other types of more extreme metal and aren't exactly into fuzz (I probably wouldn't if I had an AxeFX) but it's good to know some people like it!
