For my stoner tones I bought a cheap VHT Special 6 for $200 and when I'm not at school play it through my G-FLex 2x12. I stick a few fuzzes through it: A Death by Audio Fuzz War, A Dwarfcraft Eau Claire Thunder, a Fuzzhugger Phantom Ring (for extra dirt and for adding hints of octave to my...
Sounds pretty damn good :hbang: I feel the low notes of the guitar get a little lost and lose some definition at around the :51 mark. Nothing major, just seems a bit muddy at that point. I don't know why since the guitar sounds great through the rest of the song
The Fireball sounds great at low volumes, and it's great when you crank it too! Wish I could keep mine:realmad: I usually just played it with a noise gate, that's all it needed. Sad to have to sell it, but no one wants it anyways
Brief & Accurate Description of gear/guitar: Here we have a perfectly good Engl Fireball 60. Great condition, there are a few small nicks in the tolex but nothing real noticable. Tubes are fresh JJ's, it sounds awesome, but sadly it will not fit in a dorm room so it has to go :mad...
It didn't feel very present in my sound, I felt like it didn't add enough depth to my sound. I think it might be more that I just don't really like delay though... It sounds good I think but It just didn't fit with my sound :wallbash:
I'm really excited for this thing to be released, also curious about lower gain tones as well but I'll be updating the post when Ryan posts another demo of it.
The Dr. Scientist Elements looks like it's going to be one hell of a pedal It can do high gain distortion, overdrive or even just act as a clean boost/eq for your already distorted tones. There's some videos of it doing the high gain stuff here: EffectsWire: Need a Clean Boost, EQ...
Copilot FX has a lot of cool lo-fi effects, I highly recommend checking them out as well! Noisemaker Effects has a very fairly priced bit-crusher as well that reacts really well to your guitar's volume knob called the Noise Invaders, I own one in fact.
There's 8 different modes to it as well, a few modes actually could be very usable for rock or metal. I plan on using this in more of an electronic sounding project. So far loving both of these pedals hard, the Phantom Ring paired with my Fuzz War absolutely rips :shred: Then again the...
Yeah most people would hear them and be like WTF? I've been working them into my material though, once I get a real audio interface and EZ Drummer I'll post full songs on here, maybe someone will like them...:ugh:
