I got a 74 up top right now, Meshuggah uses 30 scales though. 74 works great on a 28.6. It will have a little bit of slack to it but I got used to it in like a day. Sounds like you would want something between 74-78 for perfection though

Get thicker strings for the B-E and lower for the F# 74 Is plenty bendable and tight for standard/half step

If you're into really heavy stuff blackouts would be a great choice. They'll do the job.Emg 808/808x are great too. Either way you can't go wrong, Go with whatever you find sounds better. Just look up some videos and what not

I use eernie balls 12-56 and I find they have a really good tone for about 5 days. More specifically I find my G to sound like shit after about 2 weeks so I change em every 3-4 weeks ish. The e tends to snap after about 5-6 though. I play roughly 2-4 hours a day everyday
