    BKP Aftermath Test!

I got some BKP Aftermaths for my 6 string Les Paul Studio, I threw a little mix together of some riffs and this was the product: Bareknuckle Aftermath Test by Dakotak on SoundCloud - Create, record and share your sounds for free If you liked it, tell me what you think of the mix/tone and I'm...

Axe FX tone : New Groove, Periphery Cover by The Nocturnal Chaos !

The guitar playing seems like you're a robot, I'd introduce a little vibrato, it drastically changes the character of your tone and performance!

The most unimaginably difficult task I've had mixing.

Yea, it's quite boomy. I need monitors! I was looking at M-Audio B5xa. I also run a program that takes over my onboard sound called Breakaway Audio Enhancer, it basically colors the audio with presets of different custom eq's, I turn off the compressors and run different presets to hear what...

The most unimaginably difficult task I've had mixing.

@KingAenarion - I'm mixing on some pretty terrible and small Logitech speakers that came with a small sub, (that only has volume no eq, lame.) And DT770 Pro Headphones, Cubase 5, Pod X3, Ez Drummer, Waves, etc. I'm not sure how to make a mix sound huge without the bass getting boomy, it's...

The most unimaginably difficult task I've had mixing.

Did a quick remix, I'm addicted to remixing apparently: https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Public/Lobotomy%20Party%20%28BEST%20MIX%29.mp3?w=9e2a6ecc

The most unimaginably difficult task I've had mixing.

@FourFour - Thin guitars = result of Pod X3 Live, and thanks, I'll get you the midi and as soon as I can. @Speculum Seculorum - Thank you! That's what I was going for. The reason why the guitars flop on those powerchords and the extra noise at 1:28, my tuning is CADGBE and I was picking very...

The most unimaginably difficult task I've had mixing.

Getting this snare to sound 'ok' at the least. This mix is updated and re-recorded. I used Gclip on my snare, and finally the oxford plugins started working so I got that going on my snare. I also used a frequency analyzer for the first time today so, I at least learned a few things out of this...

New Mixtest! (Pod X3, SD 2.0)

I think the kick is a bit too clicky, but the riffs are badass, and I love your tone! What amp/cab/mic are you using?

First Recording Post - (SD2.0, Carvin, ENGL content)

Pretty raw and angry sounding, I love the riffs. And yes, drop that snare!

    Drum mix opinions! [S2.0/Reaper/Bass]

Although it's a test, this sounds like some music I'd listen to. The drums sound very good by the way, can't wait to see what you do with your preset!

Finaly starting something (axefx, MF etc)

Sounds really good. The vocalist is not my favorite, but he seems to fit the music pretty well. Good job on the mix!

Mix test. thrash metal. new axe fx patch.

If you had some more gain in your tone it'd sound more full, but the composition sounds good. The drums sound ok, but the snare seems to have to much reverb, either that or it's ringing out to long. Try eq'ing a little more mids in the snare for it to punch harder, maybe in the 500-1.5k range...

    Just Fun

I was hooked at the beginning of this awesome project of yours. It's very cool, I loved it. Keep producing this kind of stuff, I'll be a listener!

Finished my new song, feedback appreciated (instrumental metal)

Very heavy sir. The drums sound great. I'd love to hear some more color, or sparkle in the mix to really hear everything just pop out at you.

Can you spell "ridiculously low tuning"?

The guitars are so dirty and gross sounding, I LOVE IT!!!!! I wish I could make my mix sound this massive, you sir have created the ultimate monster tone! I SALUTE YOU!

    Feedback wanted on Demo track

Hey man, cool riffs, the arrangement is pretty good as well. Just work on those 16th notes at roughly 1:00, they're a bit funky. Other than that, pretty heavy and badass if you asked me.

    TOO Djenty and Trebly?

    I know, I know.

    Hey, check out my mixes!

My kick saved settings are extremely overprocessed, I agree. The bass I'm talking bass guitar. I use a limiter rather than a compressor, it seems to work pretty well for me. I just have been mixing on $40 logitech speakers + the sub that came with and DT770 Pro headphones (80 OHM). So I'm a bit...

    How did you start recording?

I'd always intended to for a long time, but I didn't get my hands on any equipment until early this year. I finally got Cubase 5 and my first amp emulator was Amplitube 3, eventually leading to a POD x3 Live (leagues better!). Right now my set up is a pair of bad $40 logitech speakers, dt 770...

    Hey, check out my mixes!

The bass has a waves compressor, sonic maximizer, Waves Q10, and a limiter to keep it at a constant volume.
