anyone else use any delay pedals for what im doing? should it be done through the loop?

i may try to run the emg's on 18v first. if theres a huge difference.. maybe :/ but thanks for the recommendation does pickup position from high to low make any difference?

i am a fan of the emg pickups just because of the metal music i play. id love to get a jazzy allan holdsworth tone. ;] but of course thats far from possible because i dont have the gear or am allan holdsworth. but a john petrucci clean.. with some chorus.. would be nice. just a nice clear...

so the gate wouldnt be such a great idea? a pedal such as a dd3 or an ibanez analog delay.. would that be recommended? Also, ive heard putting a tuner through an FX loop can be a tone disaster.. is this true?

would it be recommended to use like my mxr smartgate and line 6 dl 4 /tubescreamer/wah through the loop then? or still not?

I'm pretty clueless on this on my new roadster... Is it just a mute for when i run the tuner through the effects loop?? Also.. can anyone define serial effects loop? I think my last amp was parallel

i could give it a shot. i dont know.. it just seems like my cleans are completely dead.. unless i turn the piezo on.. i should probably try beefing up the mids in every channel. i have a habit of lowering them.. especially in channel 4.. i use no mids at all. always gave me that low end...

I am currently using the 81/85 combo in my ibanez s2020. i love the highoutput it gives for my metal tone.. but hate the crap clean tone it provides.... is there a pickup out there that can provide both? ive heard good things about apc pickups, but never tried them.

I currently use my dl4 for some special effects and sometimes i use the digital to add some sustain and slapback to my soloing. its okay, but not great. I thought of maybe purchasing a delay pedal just for this to run through my loop. now the question is.. would i need a digital delay or an...

Just wondering what kind of settings you guys use with your TS or OD. I play a Mesa Roadster.. and for metal i use it for just adding some sustain and smoothness to my solos. i put the drive on 0.. Tone on 8 and Volume on 5. Anyone use the OD for just tightening up their rhythm tone?
