Oh it's just a minor QC issue...... Unreal

    Late NGD: Kiesel Vader V6X

Dig the wood and color combination. Looks nice! I do agree, for the Spalted Maple upcharge, I would expect a piece that's a little more figured than that. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't look bad. But if you knew that's the figuring your top was gonna come with would it be worth the extra...

    Kiesel --- Never Again!

I've owned 3 Carvins. They were all nicely made guitars. But I wouldn't pretend like they were miraculously better than anything else in the $1k-$1500 price point. About on par for the most part. Seems to me that a lot of people like to think that because they're semi-custom and you're...

However, how said company responds to those "few stories" does.

    Kiesel --- Never Again!

:noplease: Odds are none of it would have ever been "plastered" on the internet if the folks working customer service understood how the job works.

    Kiesel --- Never Again!

I had them do a color match of the transparent white finish Framus did for Devin Townsend on a DC600. This was 2013/2014 I believe. At first I was told they don't do that finish anymore (they had a "whitewash" over ash years ago, but stopped offering it.) but Mike Jones said let me see what I...

    Kiesel --- Never Again!

It's not like these guys are new to the NAMM show either. After attending the show multiple times and knowing the window of time to prepare instruments to showcase, is it really that difficult to make sure they have what they need ahead of time? If they wind up short parts for a particular...

Schecter Guitars - "they are all made the same" - Really?!?

Been playing 30+ years, multiple custom guitars from majority of brands as well as boutique builders. Also have had plenty of factory models, as well as Korean models. Schecters included. Never once have I taken the calipers out and measured a neck. Never had a need to. I can play a wizard neck...

Schecter Guitars - "they are all made the same" - Really?!?

Honestly don't think *most* people would even notice, or care. Screw-counters for sure, but your average folk? Not likely.

Schecter Guitars - "they are all made the same" - Really?!?

Hard to respond to such a thread without throwing in your own preferences. :\ Not surprised Schecter isn't going to do anything about it. I don't disgaree with them on that either. I agree that 3mm isn't nothing. The difference between playable and unplayable? If you say it is for you, who is...

Question for Jackson KV1 Dave Mustaine Signature model owners.

If it were me, I wouldn't hesitate to trade if the KV1 hasn't been abused or anything. If it's a straight trade, even better as the KV1s generally have much better resale value than KV2s do. I'd keep the LSR's on the KV1 as long as they're in working order.

Question for Jackson KV1 Dave Mustaine Signature model owners.

There's zero footage from the Dystopia sessions of him using it that I am aware of so who knows for certain. Id imagine that since it's on the stand in the control room with his Korina VMNT that it probably was used to some extent.

Question for Jackson KV1 Dave Mustaine Signature model owners.

Haha! I completely forgot my previous log in here. Had to make a new one haha. I don't think Kahler was producing much during that time frame either. Jackson had a lot of trouble acquiring the bridges. Glad that he finally confirmed it. I guess I can't blame the guy, i'd imagine his...
