let me bump this thread up for some km love! i got another km6 just today :D and.. i realised my very first km has started to turn yellowish/greenish... any tips on maintaining the body/finish of this guitar?

Mine sounds goofy :( but on the other strings are good, go get one too bro! totally worth it

just got the the new km6, and i have to say its a great guitar as well, infact i think the pickups sound better than those on the km7. the Km7's pickups don't sound good on the B string when palm muting ( kinda sounds like you scooped out all the mids and max out the bass ) , please do tell...

All this delay might very well turn out to be a good thing with all this qc problems i see with the current batch of km-7, hope you are able to get a decent piece after schecter straighten things out.

yes, you can try the curt mangan .84 gauges they sound very good. but i still think u need to set some relief on your neck, turn it abit at a time in a clockwise manner , not more than 1/4 a circle, if you are not confident please bring it to a guitar tech

if its just the action , use a allan key and lower your saddles on the bridge of the F# string

you need to give the neck some relief, i had mine set up that way with the F# string on 0.84, however the action is still considered on the medium high side for both F# and B string. You would not be able to have low action on a dead straight rg8 neck, the F# and B string would definitely buzz...

Slapped some Curt Manga 0.84 Strings on my RG 8 today , it sounds SO MUCH better. Take note : #1 u need to file your tunning peg slot. #2 ur nut slot. #3 and the string slot at the bottom of your guitar.

tried applying the wider tape at the side of the head stock, looks ugly because of the white tape on maple neck , i might remove the head stock's pinstripe im abit annoyed that the nut is actually a tad too low , i will definitely change the nut soon , any recommendations for nuts? do you...

Was inspired by a fellow sevenstring.org member MikeyENGL :) Did up faux binding with pinstripe tape , however the results are not that ideal, especially the headstock :(
