From what he’s described to me and the photo he sent, it is what is normal for a kahler.
As I explained earlier, the base plates are cast, not milled, so they’re not perfectly straight. It’s how they are.
What he’s claiming to be his issue with the bridge is something that out of the hundreds of kahlers ive used is a common “feature” on Kahler Bridges. The base plates are never perfectly straight. They’re a cast item, not machined. It’s simply how they are. Brian has received his first ever...
You claim you’re not soiling my reputation, look again at the title of the thread!
Contact Kahler. I’m not a kahler dealer. You need to contact kahler. It’s how they do business.
You keep saying it can’t be used. That is how they are. That is how they make them. That is how they sell them. I...
All I’ve done is tried to help you out and all you’re doing is attacking me, trying to make out like I’ve scammed you when it’s me that’s losing money out of all this, now losing my time, on top of that you’re trying to soil my reputation when I’ve done nothing but try to help you, yet you are...
You keep using the word “defective”
It’s not “defective”, that’s how they are. I tried explaining that I’ve had many lahlers like this and for them it is considered normal.
Your analogy above using jackoson from a dealer doesn’t apply here. I’m not a kahler dealer. I do not buy and resell...
Again, you are twisting my words to suit your attack on me and not using them as they are intended.
I told you I inspected the BOX to check it had contents. I’ve never inspected the bridge. There was a bridge in the box. That’s all I know.
You told me that you’ve never used a kahler before...
May I clear up what’s the actual truth and not what is being represented.
Yes. Brian bought the bridge off me. It was a item I’ve had sitting around for several years and I sold it as part of a timber and parts clearance I’ve been doing at what I’d guess is around half retail price, I’m not...

Thanks guys, and yes, there’s always opportunity for something to go wrong. Experience really does make a difference. All the more reason to buy your guitar from a professional builder and not a hobbiest if you want quality. You pay more, but you get more.
This video is a collection of mobile phone footage showing the Graveyard II guitar progress from timber blanks to finished guitar, including pickup making and guitar setup.
Enjoy!
Hi Wolfos, sorry for the late reply, I haven’t been on this site for a while.
Yes, we’re located in Australia, however we do freight internationally, so location isn’t an issue if you’re looking at ordering a build.
Thanks for the kind words,
Allan
This is a fair bit different from the typical build to come out of my workshop however I've been getting requests for more vintage styled models and this is a little something I came up with:
This one is easily the best sounding acoustic I've made to date.
Specs:
Western Red Cedar top with Indian Rosewood back & sides
Macassar Ebony Fingerboard and bridge
Black Limba neck
Flame Maple rosette
K&K Pure Mini Pickup
25.4" scale, 20" radius with 20 frets (evo gold)
As a person who builds guitars for a living, I use this tool all the time (for the record mine is the stewmac one and yes guitar tools are expensive)
However unless you're doing detailed fretwork, you really don't need one. I do not use this for setups or anything like that, only when...
