Oh, I didn't know that! I just played and tested the EBMMJP with the previous pickups! Thanks a lot for the info! What about D-Sonic, unfortunately I don't know it. How does it sound, what are its characteristics? And: Wich neck pickup does the JP have? Thanks Andy

    Looking for THE one

Hi again, I'm about to buy a Petrucci from a nice guy in the UK. He send me some pictures of the guitar (wich is a new one) and I was just wondering about the bridge pickup. I've never seen a pickup like that in a MM JP so I thought you guys might help me. When asking the guy he told me: "The...

    Looking for THE one

Yeah, you're right! That's why I think about buying one in the US...but I don't know how I'd come off including shipping and taxes... As of lately I've been watching ebay for used MM JPs but there's hardly any that comes with Piezos here. If I go for a Petrucci I wouldn't go without them...

    Looking for THE one

@ Drew: Ok, I've done some bit of thinking. Where would I want to buy that guitar? Here in Germany you have to pay around 2300 Euro for a MM JP in Pearl Redburst and Piezos on board, which is about 2930 US Dollar!!! I think in the US they are selling them for about 1800 Dollar, is that right?

    Looking for THE one

Thank you for all the feedback so far, I love you guys! I will take any suggestion into my consideration. I never spend that much money on a guitar yet, so this time it is really going to be my ultimate main guitar I'm gonna spend a good deal of the rest of my life with. At least I think so ;)...

    Looking for THE one

Hello again :wavey: I'm looking for a new sixstring to be my ultimate main guitar and thought you guys might have some good ideas and suggestions. Here are the features I'm looking for - PRS kind of body style - pickups: Seymour Duncan SH-2 + SH-4 or SH-6 (or similar) - Piezos (if...

Pickups for an Ibanez Prestige RG 2027 XVV

Ok there, I finally bought the BB from Eric and I eventually replaced the stock pickups. First of all I want to say what a great guy Eric is. His responses were super-fast and very friendly and the pickup arrived here in no time! So, I definitely want to recommend him. :yesway: The BB...

    Pickups for a mahogany guitar?

I was looking for new pickups for a mahagony guitar recently and I went with the Blaze Bridge and Air Norton. I don't have the BB installed yet, but the AN sounds awesome in mahagony and I bet the BB will, too. Have a look into that thread if you like...

Pickups for an Ibanez Prestige RG 2027 XVV

Yeah, I canceled my order today :metal: Even if the difference between the BB and BC may not be very significant, I think the swap will be worth it. Now I'm looking for somewhere to get the BC as fast as possible. You can get it for moderate prices over here, but unfortunately it's not available...

Pickups for an Ibanez Prestige RG 2027 XVV

Ah, cool. So you're probably the German-Irish Consigliere of some Italo-American mafia family, right? Just like Tom Hagen from "The Godfather" :bath: That is absolutely the best and most exact description of what I'm looking for sound-wise. That finally nails it! Once again...

Pickups for an Ibanez Prestige RG 2027 XVV

Grüß Gott then ;) and Prost  Where exactly are you from? Do you live in the states or do you study there or something? I think I know what you mean. It makes me lean towards the BC even just a little bit more. I guess I may like that vocal sound to the mids and while I like...

Pickups for an Ibanez Prestige RG 2027 XVV

Thank you, I did a search here and: yes, I think the D-Sonic is definitely an option:yesway: Maybe I would want to swap the BB for the BC then? It hasn't been shipped yet. Distortion is cleary more important to me than cleans (I guess the AN will help deliver pretty decent cleans anyway). The...

Pickups for an Ibanez Prestige RG 2027 XVV

Never heard about that one! Some info anywhere? I just haven't been that much of a pickup whore yet  I see it's time to change that immediately, at least a little bit :flame:

Pickups for an Ibanez Prestige RG 2027 XVV

Ok, I finally ordered a Blaze Bridge. I was a bit torn between the Blaze Bridge and the BC but eventually settled for the BB. Shipping will take a week at least. I will keep you updated as soon as the pickups are installed. One short question out of curiosity: is there a big difference between...

    Problem tuning my new RG2077XL

TheRiverDragon, did you get advice from Mayzan? I've had the same problem with my regular 2027, .010's and 3 springs, until I put in two additional springs. Made me wonder a lot back then since the attatchment for the springs wasn't equipped for any additional springs.

Pickups for an Ibanez Prestige RG 2027 XVV

I just saw that Eric is selling Blaze pickups as well as Blaze Customs  Those are hard to get by over here. But what exactly is the difference between a Blaze (bridge) and a Blaze Custom, and wich would I want to go for? Argh, and one more question, do I need an F-spaced bridge-pickup...
