I would seriously consider the new MTM2. I got a MTM2 wich was great except baaaad pickups. So I wanted to try the MTM1. After getting one and testing it I did not understand why so expensive: neck through and EMG ? Even the neck was not to my liking (flatter) though specs says same profile...

Yes, particulary the new pickups: are they better ? I had the previous one and didn't like the V8, no balls, poor definition imho. For luthery and hardware I think they're the same but you can always find different tones in same models. You could edit your thread title with MTM2, good infos...

It's all relative, when I say light I'm thinking of lower than 7lbs. I like some weight ; had a RGA7 too light for me and weak unplugged tone whereas an MTM2 was great and they are both Indonesian made with said "mahogany". About Gibsons LP range is 8-10lbs from. 8lbs seems ok for me :metal...

Light with mahogany seem strange to me. Is it Made In Indonesia as the RGA7 with its low quality wood ? What other models did you compared ? Nice ringing unplugged or more like a weak fart ?

I'm also curious about the Ibanez ARZ307.

This sunburst Apex100 is plain ugly,then seems damn expensive for an alder body. Ibanez bring back the K7 or Apex1 ! Black or grey anyday !
