20th anny jem was selling for $5k at my local music shop. I'm sure their value has since gone up but it shouldn't be anywhere near $20k.

That 8 string V they have on their main page is amazing. I would love to grab a guitar from them. You can never have enough frets and strings!

If this was to ever become available (with 27 frets) it would make me go out and buy a 2228 asap just for this neck.

They have already added the 7 string and the 27 fret fairly quickly for how long the guitar has been out. Who knows what they might do down the road. Would be nice, but I still prefer the whole strat shape over the ridiculous shapes. V's are cool in my book though. And I'd love a Caparison.

If I go with an 8 I plan to add the high A (or whatever tuning I use really) and just have it tuned to low B or Bb for the most part. That's all I need.

Yeah that was a San Dimas. I didn't check any of them out but they had a handful of them and the strat styled ones.

They had the white one there. Looked very nice. I would definitely take that over the other ones. Though the 27s green was nice too.

I think they are starting to catch on a lot more with popularity and what with more production models coming out, but my interest in them has nothing to do with fad/hype. Being very lead playing and looking to try something new (to me), the idea of an 8 string has caught my mind. I love 7...

Aw haha. If it makes you feel any better it was just a spider III 1x12. :) Muhammad's guitar would be bitchin' but I do kind of prefer standard/strat shaped guitars (or I'd take an Explorer/V). I don't know if I would rock the 7 string Xiphos but I'm sure I'd take one hands down if it was 8 string.

I almost bought a regular xiphos when they first came out (I preordered a black one but ended up picking up an rg550). The trem was definitely a turn off for me, I love my Edge II though, go figure. I'd like a bolt-on prestige xiphos, I could easy rock one.

Boss DS-1 is where it's at haha. The only distortion pedal you will ever need.

I must also state that I now wish my rg had 27 frets :(
