I still have my Triaxis with VHT2502. I have progressed from big rack setup to just using the GSP1101. The TriAxis has great clean sound, and tricky distortion sound to dial. If you like Mesa Mark sound, and need MIDI, then get the TriAxis.
Hi Barney1981: For a parametric eq rack unit that delivers that you mentioned, I recommend the Behringer PEQ2200. I have used it for over 5 years. No tone suck, 5 band parametric eq, low and high pass filters, bypass button, etc.
Hi fellas: I have owned my TriAxis for five years, and did gigs and recording sessions with it for 3 years. Over those years, my rack set up has grown to 18 units with my TriAxis and VHT2502 as the main components. I am thinking of downgrading now, because I have found the DigiTech GSP1101...
I always haggle, but not very much, unless I know that I want to walk out with the item I see or plan to buy. Everything as a bottom line threshold, and the process of discovering or changing it, if it is possible, is a conflict of interest. My take is, if you, the customer, want to haggle...
Ricreech: I have the same problem with my PL Plus Series II. I think, the PL Plus C is the latest version of the same product. I sent an e-mail to Furman, got a return number, and sent the unit back to Furman to be fixed.
I would be interested in one as well. Ideally, I need this unit: RJM Music Technology, Inc. - Creators of the RG-16, Amp Gizmo and other MIDI switching systems
Thanks, men 7 Dying Trees; your band sounds great, and tight. The mix has that "kicking" sound. I would check out your band, if I ever visit the UK. I read your review of the PGA-04, and you mentioned that the signal coming out of the PGA-04 lacks the "air" element. I think, it is fair...
Hi fellas: Has anyone ever used any DI box with cabinet simulator (with or without load box)? What is your experience with it? A few units that get my interest: - Behringer Ultra GI100 - Palmer PDI-03 - Palmer PGA-04 I have a rack setup, and think that hauling my rack without the...
Hi fellas: I have a Behringer FCB, and am planning to get the GSP1101. I heard that some people are having problems with the combination. Does anyone, who owns a GSP1101 own the Control 2 as well? Do you find it to be necessary or worth buying? I like the Behringer FCB, but it is too...
I use VHT2/50/2 in stereo with a TriAxis. I have not had any other power amp rack, so I can't compare it with others. Nevertheless, it is true that the VHT sounds clean and clear--almost neutral. I like to use it in class A, whenever possible, because the tone becomes thicker, the volume...
I think, the case of liking your current tone, and then disliking it the next day may be caused by out of context experimentation. What I mean is that, as most of you know, bedroom tone (out of context) is not the same as live tone with other musicians (in context). So, the new overdrive...
SPX-90 is all right, but you could get a better modern unit than it is. Nevertheless, the delay, reverb, and pitch shifters are quite nice. However, what makes me avoid it is the latency, when switching presets. It cuts off your sound for at least 750 ms.
Ported 4x12 must sound massive. Has anyone tried one? Here's one: Buy Genz Benz G FLEX GB412G-FLEX 4X12 Guitar Ported Cabinet at Music Power :hbang::hbang::hbang::hbang::hbang:
Thanks, men My main distortion setting is the following: Lead 2 Red Gain 7.5 Treble 7 Mid 8 Bass 3.5 Lead Drive 7 Presence 5.5 Dynamic Voice 3.5 I think, this setting is pretty moderate for a balanced sound. I tried a parametric EQ, after the TriAxis in the past. Although I did get the sound...
Thanks for the replies No, I am not using stock pickups on the RG. I use Blaze Custom and Air Norton 7. The delay is quite good, it's Korg SDD2200. mmm, so would getting a different cabinet or/and? speakers would really change my sound a lot? The only cabinet that I have ever compared my...
