    8-string headless, sub-$2k; Best brands/models/experiences?

Hi there ! I have several headless models : Kiesel, Strandberg, Legator, Valravn, but all over the 2k budget. I will admit you are looking for a mustiscale fixed bridge model. Strandberg : In this range you are looking for the standard serie. In terms on construction, mine was flawless...

    New Ibanez JEM7v7

Yes I kept the PAF 7...I never thought I would appreciate a low output pick up but it works very well with the RG8527z, in fact I find it to be a perfect match..And, as you can hear it can have a very furious sound... I use free plugins like Lepou Legion and torpedo wall of sound or guitarhack...

    New Ibanez JEM7v7

Well I like them both...But I have to admit that the J.Custom is a step above the JEM in terms of sound and construction. The JEM7v7 is a really good guitar and I like it a lot, it can be agressive, or smooth, it can scream or be nice, but the J.Custom has this extra response the JEM lacks...

    New Ibanez JEM7v7

I compared it with the original Lo pro edge bar given in the box and the new carbon fiber bar is really better when it comes to the placement of it...It stays where you left it because it's so light...it doesn't fall appart because of the gravity. The feel is ok but I really like the metal feel...

    Ibanez RG8527z J.Custom Black Onyx

Thanks guys, @Toxin, the PAF 7 are very clear sounding with a lot of trebbles. The thing is, on that guitar, the sound is made mainly by the wood selection because the sound of my PAF 7 absolutely kills the sound of the D-Activator loaded on my Lag Stephan Forte signature, that is absolutely...

    NGD: Ibanez Premium RG7

I noticed you've got the RG927 in the US, and we have the RG827 in Europe. The differences are in the pick ups that I think, are better in the US version, point that I don't mind because I would change them anyway. The other difference is in the 430mm neck radius instead of the 400mm european...

I don't really know for UK, but I am french and I bought it on Music Farm. THey sent it to me and a received it in 6 days for 715 Euros + 215 Euros for taxes. I asked another shop for the string gauge and they told me that : .009 .011 .016 .024 .032 .042 .059 This answer seems to be more in...

NG(s)D: Dean Rusty Cooley RC7X and others (56K... good luck)

For sure the frets are different, because I can touch the wood with my fingers. It seems to feel like medium fret. I personnaly prefer the Jumbo frets, but it doesn't bother me at all. to play shred and co. Thanks for the string gauge (tension was not the good word, sorry I'm French :p The shop...

NG(s)D: Dean Rusty Cooley RC7X and others (56K... good luck)

Hi ! Just bought one, and it's fabulous ! The frets doesn't disturb me at all. I have to precise that the guitar looks very ugly in the official photos, but in real, it's not ugly at all. I made a video with the guitar : Do you know what kind of string tension are mounted on this guitar? I...
