I'll never (probably) buy another guitar again if Ibanez puts piezo on this dream guitar. Hell, I'll pony up the cash for the J Custom if need be.
Probably will never happen, though. I don't even remember the last time Ibanez put piezo on a guitar, maybe 15 years ago?:lol::lol:
Some amazing songs, and some confusing ones. As with all Dream Theater records, I find that repeated listenings help me enjoy their compositions more.
For example, I was pretty apprehensive towards the title track at first, but after listening to it a few more times, I'm starting to enjoy it...
Does potential future release count? Because I'm been waiting for an Ibanez S 7-string with trem and no pickup rings for half a decade now.:lol::lol:
I thought Petrucci did a pretty good job with the 8-string, considering he did basically the same thing when he first recorded with the 7-string.
I have the same guitar, and it's certified awesome, indeed! I love the S shape so much, but Ibanez is reducing the 7-string option on this line year after year... :noplease::shrug:
*Patiently waiting for a new 7-string S with trem and no pickup rings*:pray::pray:
I would like to see an 8-string floating trem guitar that can flutter like a 6-string and tune quickly like a fixed bridge. How long do I have to wait?
Ditto for Agile. My first 8-string guitar is a used Interceptor 828 I picked up for $400 about 7-8 years ago, and the quality is decent. The neck has a slighty thicker profile than the Ibby's, and the body has some weight to it, being Mahogany and all. The 28" scale length does make bending the...
If you've got the cash to spend, Prestige all the way man; it will play great for as long as you want to keep it around. Premium has some sick looking finishes, but like the others have said, the quality control is so-so. Then again, if you have a trusted luthier, a Premium can be buttered up to...
Beautiful guitar, my dude. How's the trem handling the abuse so far? Any performance notes comparing to the Floyd Rose/Lo-Pro?
Nice playing as well! :yesway:
I don't know how long I've been waiting for an 8-string multiscale Prestige offering from Ibanez, really want to upgrade from the Agile haha.
Oh the pain of being addicted to the Wizard neck...
