Old thread but bumping to clear up some misinformation. EQ on the Framus Cobra is not active. And JJ tubes are personally the last tubes I'd put in my Cobra.

If they offer that valve king in a 212 version - you might want to check that one out instead of the 112.

Resonance at 7 and bass at 8 - that shouldn't sound thin at all, more like a muddy mess unless you're playing in a concrete room. What kind of cab/speakers are you going through? What are your treble and presence set at and how do you have your mids dialed in??

You might want to give the Liquid Foot Jr. a look. It's got a nice small footprint and just enough buttons but it does run a bit pricey. Checked their site (http://www.liquid-foot.com/purchase.shtml) and it's listed at an Intro Price of 450 dollars. :nuts: Good looking unit too.
