    I'm curious what item(s) I need to properly bias an amp. Multimeter and probes right? I was thinking of a Weber Bias Rite BR-2: Weber Bias Rite cathode current monitor Is that a good setup or is there a better alternative? Help is greatly appreciated.

    Yeah that's a nice thing about PA tubes; you can just swap them out easily and quickly. I'll probably put Penta 12AX7's in everything but experiment with a handful of others in V1.

    Well from the small time I've spent with a 3ch, I think it's base tone is very much what I'm looking for. I might get like FJA's clarity mod to just improve everything a little. If that were the case, do you think it'd matter if I had an 3ch as opposed to a 2ch?

    Thanks for all the replies, I definitely feel more informed. Won't different tubes have a significant impact on the tone? I hear a lot of different things about what people say sound good. Regular 6L6's, EL34's, KT77's, 5881's etc.
