    LTD MH-307 trem question

The licensed Floyd in my MH-307 sounds dead, goes out of tune easily, and just plain overall sucks. I love the way this guitar plays and feels so I'm considering replacing the trem. Would I need to do any routing if I replaced it with an OFR or a Schaller?

    Replacing trem on LTD MH-307?

My LTD is in need of a new trem. I have a few stripped screws on this bridge and the knife edges are a little dull. Few questions: 1. Is an OFR a drop-in replacement? 2. If not, how about any of the higher quality (schaller) licensed floyds? 3. Will I have to route anything? 4. Also...

(Buffalo, NY) Seeking drummer for melodic/technical/prog metal project

Currently looking for a drummer in the Buffalo/Western New York area. Influences include Opeth, Meshuggah, Katatonia, Decapitated, Emperor, TesseracT, Porcupine Tree, older In Flames, Scar Symmetry, etc. Looking for someone committed who would be able to jam/rehearse once or twice a week. I'm...

    ENGL e530

Did the trade and I'm not regretting it. I've been playing around with the ENGL into some impulses lately and it's hard to find a sound I don't like.

    Peavey XXX any good?

The cleans on the XXX are usable and the distortion is sick. It has a lot of low end, though, and the active EQ can be a pain in the ass sometimes. I use the crunch channel for rhythms and the ultra channel for leads, the ultra channel's low end is a bit looser. Make sure you set the damping...

    ENGL e530

The guitar is my spare but it's got better pickups than my new main axe. Scored an LTD MH307 last week but it's still got the HZs in it. I can't stand the Schecter neck to be honest and I'd rather have a neck that's comfortable than better pickups.

Brian moore 7 string for 500 on CL

I had an i97 for a while and it was a sick guitar for the price, however the neck profile was a bit too thick for my taste. The SD JB7 also doesn't quite match the guitar either, I think it would sound better with a D-Sonic in the bridge. Aside from that, as far as Korean guitars go, the build...

    ENGL e530

I thought the same with my old 5150 and then again my XXX. Peavey makes a great, usable amp, but I've determined that the tone of the ENGL is more what I'm looking for.

    ENGL e530

There's a guy around here that wants to trade his ENGL e530 preamp for my Schecter Hellraiser C7. Not really sure if it's worth it, does anyone else care to chime in? FWIW, my current amp setup is a Peavey Triple XXX thru a Marshall 1960 straight cab with Vintage 30s. I'm thinking if I do go...

Want to try an 8-string before I plunk down the cash...

I'd like to try an 8-string at some point in the near future before I go ahead and spend the cash. Problem is, I can't find any place in town that will stock one without a deposit and commitment to purchase. I'm willing to try out any current production model and I'm in the Rochester, NY area if...

    ESP/LTD new models for 2010

This is true, but ESP necks are different than Schecter necks. Schecter 6 string necks feel like a baseball bat to me. Love the shape, just not a fan of C-shaped necks.

    EMG 707 adjustment

I just picked up a Schecter Hellraiser C-7 and while I am absolutely in love with this axe, I can't seem to find a way to adjust the height of the pickups! They're screwed directly into the body, and if I loosen the screws, they just wiggle around. Would cutting some springs to a decent length...
