ok, so finally I bought an Emg PA-2 for testing... not sounding bad, more more gain but too many background noise turning the knob near max position... the PA2 finally goes to my schecter guitar. for the fisrt problem, i finally found something not bad... adjusting little more the pick close...

i will try to collect more informations about nailbomb. i would like buy a used pickup but in france, you can not find seven's as well... I will search... ;)

ok, so i raise a little more the pickup (maybe a big big millimeter) at first it seems sound better... more attack...good. i couldn try with big volume yet ...just in my room for the moment but i think it will be good. i ll try for real in studio session on next monday. :D thx

ok edit: i dont understand what you mean for "couple of millimeters" (one - two... more...) :) i take my guitar and i comeback >> actually i get 4mm between B string and pickup plot. (for bridge pickup)

sorry i don t answer. so, yes i did it... the pickup is very close the strings. i ll try to adjust a little more .

i say x2n first because i got an x2n on a washburn dime (mahogany body with maple table if i remember right) and i really like it. it s very cool all your answers but i think lost now... :) evo7, preamp Pa2 or Ab... i don t think about the PA2 but i think now it will be an idea to conserve...

hello I love this guitar, i love it sound but i want a little bit more gain with the bridge pickup (paf7 in neck is really good) i don t know what to do between: install an X2n in bridge (to get always the guitar in passive) or install an pair of EMG 81-7 (maybe 81 & 85)... i don t know how...
