if somebody gets endorsed does not nessesery mean that they use that bass on a recording, i have a few basses, dean, yamaha, washburn, schecter, ibanez and use only my washburn and schecter on recordings. taste in sound is obviously different per person, but i love the sound of the schecter
the guys are really nice as well, talked with them for a while at their gig in glasgow.. one of the reasons was that they are from my country and it turned out that we had some friends in common... small world...
i would advice to check out the new pod x3 pro, just bought one myself and the guitar sounds are pretty decent (every pack is included) also a good pre amp for bass and vocals.. its not the cheapest pod but its a good piece of equipment
for my guitars i am 100% tube guy.. engl e570 pre amp engl 60/60 poweramp and tc electronic g major for the effects. for bass i went for solid state. using a pod x3 pro, tc electronic g major, behringer 2x32 band eq into 2x350 watt poweramp (sending seperate signals to my 4x10 and 1x15 cabs)
do you have the e530? the problem i had with the e530 is the lack of a noise gate on it and not midi switchable. i have a groovetool conklin 7 string with blackouts and my amp set up is engl e570 pre amp engl 930/60 poweramp and tc electronic g-major and this is the desirable sound i was after...
i have the e570 pre amp and a engl e930/60 poweramp and totally love it... it is a very good pre amp with all the good engl sounds (classic to modern) really cant go wrong with it..
