    SumatrA (Russian Progressive Deathcore)

I hate the vocals, but otherwise they're sicker than hell.

    Underrated drummers?

Nick Barker for sure, Kevin Lane, I like the new Periphery drummer Matt Halpern a lot, and the guy from Warhammer is sick.

    Nothing or Obzen

Nothing has some great tracks, but Pravus, Bleed, Pineal Gland Optics and the production won me over. I love both though.

    My first gig =)

My first show was awful. I drank like two monster energy drinks right before I went on. Thought it would help with presence, but the caffeine jitters mixed with adrenalin made anything other than standing in the exact same spot impossible. I have some advice though. Buy some strings, stretch em...

    Carnifex

I fucking hate Carnifex, and you will too after the first month of listening to either of those albums. They're good live though.

    Chimira's "spread the infection" codes

You don't have to have any of that to be a core band. The emo thing is emo, not core. As for the flipping into it over night. If JFAC could flip out of it over night, I don't see why it couldn't happen the other way around? They DO have breakdowns, just not shitty ones. You said...

Bands similiar to winds of plague

Bleeding Through. That's Winds of Plague-lite haha. If you like the symphonic element you should check out Abigail Williams. As far as the whole Meshuggah influenced breakdown bands goes, check out Animals as Leaders. Not super breakdowny, but if you like sweet syncopated beats and...

    I like his production.

    Despised Icon

Getting the kids ready for the br00tal mosh duh. :) Not inhaled ever. Tritones yes, breeing yes (not on Day of Mourning though), and their drummer is pretty good imo. I don't like Deicide, but the man has a point.

What album release(s) are you looking foward to in 2009?

Has anyone heard Nile's new album??? PWNED.

I have found a new band (deathcore, but give them a listen)

Nope. My band played with them recently and there is no fucking way. The soundman left when they were setting up, leaving the volume super low on the vocals (pulled the same bullshit with us too), then after about ten seconds of barely hearing him, he started belting them out. There's just no...

    New Abigail Williams Video

About as deathcore as the Faceless, which isn't really too deathcore. I think you might be referring to the breakdown in the song? Seeing as there's only one of those, I don't really think it can be classified as deathcore imo.
