Hey all, ive been contemplating tuning my 7 to D#2, A#2, F3, A#3, D#4, G4, C5, as my 6's are currently tuned to that minus the low D# (drop A#/Bb). I was wondering if anyone here has used this tuning, or anything similar? eg. Bottom 3 strings in 5ths. Also any suggestions for the most...
Im currently using .70, .52, .38, .28, .18w, .14, .10 for A# standard, and i find its well balanced for that. Ive also used the same set for B standard, so it could be worth a shot in drop A, but then id probly use a .74 for the low B string.
For mine i just used a 40 or 80 grit belt sander strip and did it by hand, it didnt take as long as it sounds like it would though, although the hacksaw idea above could remove the bulk pretty quickly.

Hey, thanks for the tip Cooley. This was the first time id really done any major work on a guitar lol, i think all in all it turned out ok. I still havnt had a chance to play it yet as im still waiting on strings..... Im really itchin to test it out lol.
