The funny thing is, the things we do to guitars that make a HUGE difference to us, no one else can tell. Like big blocks, brass claws, up graded electronics and so on. No one can tell the difference!
Case in point, Look at Phil Collen from Def Leppard, he upgrades all of his guitars with...
Like max said, the more materials you have, the more chances things will be unique.
I have 3 genesis. (not all same model, and none have the same pickups), but they all are just slightly different in terms of playability. Obviously they all sound different. However, the one that I think plays...
I keep reading that microphone preamps make a huge difference.
I'm using a Clarett interface, and supposedly it has "upgraded" preamps. I just can't imagine I would hear any difference going to
an inexpensive preamp (like the warm audio stuff). There is no way in the world I and going to...

This showed up at ZZounds. It's not on the Jackson website, and I don't think it is available anywhere else.
I have a pair of Presonus XT 5. They are wonderful. Maybe not as precise as the Yahama HS series. However they are to my ears tonally neutral. The Yamaha's have boosted mids and highs. I use these to see how the final mix will sound, not as a tool for mixing (I typically like to use headphones)...
Well..... I'm thinking if you REALLY want one, wait a couple of years and you will be able to pick one up at GC on close out for $699. I'm going to go out of a limb and say these will not sell well at all.

It looks like Godin has released a $4000 guitar. At least these Yamaha's are somewhat competitive.
A $4k Godin? It just looks like parts from Warmoth (and nothing special at that), I need to score a contract with Warmoth and...
LOL! All the way up until the 90's. All the "beloved" Ibanez that people slobber over now was considered "cheap starter guitars" back then. If you where serious, you had an American Kramer, Hamer, Jackson, Gibson, and so on. Ibanez even tried to address this with the USA line of guitars, because...
Most of you all are to young to remember that there was a time when Ibanez was considered a beginner guitar. Everyone who was anyone played American guitars.
I don't think they have announced signatures yet. I'm so not into Ibanez this year that I could be wrong. Historically they announce sigs at NAMM.
So there is a slim chance that the red iceman will be announced.
When are they going to do a Nightswan lightning sky mock up?
It seems they are dead set on re-creating popular guitars from the 90's (although, they aren't saying it, like the pink "Steve Vai" soloist they released a few years back, that was just a pink soloist, lol, the same with a slime green...
