For the price the PRS Mushok's are pretty awesome. Throw some EMG's in there and you have an excellent baritone.

The original 5150's were definitely a lot "meaner" sounding than the 5150ii's which also tend to be quite a bit muddier. The 6505's are very cool and the clean channel is definitely improved, but when you are using it for high gain stuff the 5150 is still a little bit more aggressive.

I would go with the Carvin V3 or the 6505 combo. I've played the Bugera's quite a few times and they always came off as a decent enough 5150 clone, but the tone was never quite all the way "there" if you know what I mean. I work at Guitar Center and played with a 6505 combo for a while the...

Sounds good man. If you're still considering something else the Maxon ROD880 or the Keeley Modded Ibanez TS808's are awesome.

Fairly common problem with Boss adapters. They either crap out or if they do work they add a lot of noise. I use a Visual Sound 1 Spot. Check them out. They're very cool, super easy to expand, pretty inexpensive, and very quiet.
