Same here, I also built a MIDI stompbox switcher for my pedals that also changes the channel on my amp. Playing live has never been so easy and sounded so good.
Yeah I know Mike Gallagher used Drop B and even A# on a 24.75 scale and I love his tone, so the verdict is that the extra quarter inch shorter wouldn't make that much of a difference, right? Nailbombs were my second choice for pickups if I might add.
Yeah, I edited the title to better fit the problem but forgot to edit the post. Did the high strings have enough tension? A humbucker sized P90 will absolutely go in the neck, but I was thinking of something more aggressive in the bridge. A Warpig/Pig90 combo is something I've been wrapping...
Didn't mean going custom with PRS, just generally a custom build because I've seen little to no other companies offer something similar. The price point is also a plus for this thing, as I can get it well under $1000 new. Thanks for the reply any way!
I've got pretty huge GAS for a PRS Zach Myers SE lately, it seems to be everything I'd want at the moment. Mahogany body, maple top, dual humbuckers, individual volume and tone, Les Paul shape, fixed bridge, satin neck, beautiful finish, all good EXCEPT for the short scale. I'm playing in Drop...
Thanks all, and I'll have to agree with you a bit, but it might also be due to the guitar tone itself, we've been using Line 6 amp sims for this version, we're gonna record it with a different real tube amp tone for the album version.
Hey everyone! Here's something I believe some of you might enjoy. My band MBurns recently recorded a practice room video, it has GoPros, headbanging, chugging, samples, and many other reasons to take 5 and a half minutes of your schedule and watch the thing Video recorded with a GoPro Hero...
Well yes, but he'd be able to control two DPDT relays with one switch, and the relays would be inside the cavity and won't take up space on the guitar, how I understood it, he wants to leave just one knob on the guitar itself, but I might be mistaken :D The relays are about $3-4 a piece so it...
Okay, let me just throw my two cents in here: The EMG 707 is an active pickup, right? So since you already have a battery in there, why not use relays? You can use one SPST latching switch to control any amount of DPDT relays for example, so you could have the function of two DPDT Push-Pulls s...
Yeah, I thought that if it were that simple more people would be doing it already. Selling it isn't really an option because I've already stripped it down for a project guitar, it was pretty beat up and I got it really cheap, also getting a new guitar suited to your needs isn't an easy task...
So I've stumbled upon this thing, and it caught my eye because I'm customizing an RG for myself and I hate the floating bridge it has. Never been a fan of the floyd rose, and I've been thinking about blocking it permanently or investing in something that would be an alternative. Judging by the...
The one in the middle: An '05 Ibanez Artist, my first real guitar, plays and sounds amazing, and if I ever get a custom done it's gonna be modeled after this one.
Didn't want to buy a board so I built myself one Didn't want to buy a power supply so I built myself one Didn't want to buy two overdrives so I built myself two :D Among a million of other things
Thanks, I've been in search for a good solution since the light guy decided to turn off the lights during a part where I play alone at our last gig. Was not pleasant.
Was kinda hoping to go for under $10 for a pair, the allparts ones are $12 a piece, still a bit expensive. Oh well, better than the PRS original price, thanks anyway. Any other suggestions anybody?
