    Do I lose half the output when I coilsplit?

    I was asked this today and couldn't give an answer. A "logic" answer would be yes because you're using half of the humbucker pickups... but I just don't think it works tihis way. So basically... how much (in percentage, fraction, etc.) output do I lose when I coil split a humbucker?
