    Random Pics of Your Rig

I don't use the Peavey cab, its just sort of a "head-stand". The black box ontop of the Marshall is a modded Soldano SP-77

Anyone use green channel on 5150/6505 for metal?

How did you like the 6534+? I was in Matt's Music and tried one out along with a 6505 and a 6505+ and I liked the 6505+ the best at the time, but my tastes have since changed and I think I would prefer the 6534 now

NA[o]D! (New Amp Order Day!; The new rig coming together...)

Randall makes killer amps, I don't think I've ever really played one that made me sad in the pants (I haven't played the super cheap "RX" or whatever, but don't see the need to haha) Enjoy!

Anyone use green channel on 5150/6505 for metal?

the "crunch" mode on the Clean channel still has a ton of gain. The lead channel is really overkill once you hit about 4 or 5 IMHO

    Ship jumpers thread lol

I went from a 20 space NASA Fridge to a Hughes & Kettner Switchblade with a wah and tuner and will never look back at racks seriously again. I got some great tones out of them, but I feel like the tone I get out of the Switchblade is much better, and its a hell of a lot easier to take with me...

Getting a new amp and guitar but don't know what

Invest more in the amp. You could get a V for 1k, and a decent amp for 1k, and you're good to go. What's wrong with a Floyd Rose? As long as its setup right and you have the brain power to adjust it properly, its a great tool to have.

    Looking for unique pickups

there's a difference between "knowing about" and trying out. I thought I knew about Tone Zones (and I didn't like them) when I first heard them, pulled it out of my Charvel Socal almost immediately. Then, on a whim I put it into my Charvel 475, and have tone of the GODS!:hbang: But I say...

B.C Rich, some questions, and a little GAS for everyone ;)

Early USA BC Riches did NOT say "Made In USA" on the Headstock, that wasn't commonplace until 86-87 I believe. If Lorne is on this forum aswell, he will have the details. I doubt that guitar is an 82. The serial Numbers on BC Riches doesn't mean anything either. Likely an 84-86 if I were a...
