I experienced this as well, 7SOH. I usually type something and find zillions of threads remotely linked to the subject (typing "bloody murder" will rarely lead me to Joe's pedals, but every occurence of "bloody" and "murder") ; when I want to go "advanced", I type my search, hit the "search"...
