Is the Jackson Misha Mansoor HT7 the Djent bargain of 2019?

Plenty of decent upgrades, well priced and NEON ORANGE or a more reserved blue... Discuss https://www.gearnews.com/namm-2019-jackson-pro-misha-mansoor-ht7-the-djent-bargain/

Am I overreacting? what would you do in my place?

Just loosen the bolts and reposition the neck fella. Easy fix and why Strats were made that way in the first place. Leo was a man that wanted his products to be easy to fix...

    Which gauge strings for JP7

I just cleaned the frets up and stuck 10-56 on to see how I fair. The 56 just was the lowest I had in my string stash, so its on and ready to play. Really need to get into the 7th string as if I don't I will have to sell the guitar... I have it up for trade on a few sites, but honestly would...

Do dents you get in your guitars bother you?

I don't mind dents at all. Plus I tend to buy used guitars which come pre-dented so that means I save money and don't have to worry about scratching it etc So I can just get on with playing it and enjoying it. Collectors worry about dents, players play their instruments.

    Which gauge strings for JP7

I've never been a fan of Elixir strings to be honest, they kind of 'shed their skin like a snake' and sound odd to me. But I hear loads of people rate them. I've used most brands over the years and tend to find D'addario the most consistent overall. Horses for courses though.

    Which gauge strings for JP7

Wow! There are some heavy gauges in there. You guys must have meat hooks or coal shovels for hands. I have tried Open C with a low G on this guitar ala Devin Townsend and that is fun as well. Think I need to experiment some more as you lot are well ahead of me at the moment in your...

    Which gauge strings for JP7

I think the 10s are better as the 9s are a little weird for me as they are so light, just not sure about the low B I think I have a pack of 56s kicking around I might try with a regular set of 10s.

    Any other punk fans?

I love a bit of punk myself, my old band used to play everything from Dead Kennedys to The Ruts and everything in-between. Here are a few of our favourites we covered. Thats me on my ol' Les Paul making all the guitar racket... The Real Bank Of England by The Real Bank Of England on...

    Which gauge strings for JP7

I thought about that as well. I think with me its because I'm a total thumb over the top player and tend to fret chord shapes in a Hendrix fashion i.e fretting low E with my thumb instead of the traditional classical position of thumb on the back of the neck. The guitar sounds pretty damn...

    Which gauge strings for JP7

I've tried 9s and 10s but thought I would ask to see what you guys around here preferred on you JP7s? Usually I use D'Addario strings if that makes any odds. I hardly ever play mine as I am truly a six string player, but I figure I either get around to playing it more or it is a waste of a...

    NGD: Blackmachine B7

Great guitars I only found out the last year that Doug is a guy I used to skateboard with when we were kids. He was a BMX master and could pull any trick and listened to Kreator all the time. I played his first ever 'pink' super Strat with gauge 8 strings and a scalloped neck! Lol He make...
