Man you folks that slammed my thread are sounding like those cork-sniffs over at TGP.

I said nothing about "HATE" for CNC. It has its applications, but not to fine top quality guitars like my QuickSilver. Hand made guitars by a expert luthier hands down surpasses a computer program that exibits not skill, imagination and love. And BTW, the pinheads that claimed I am/was...

    Here's my baby.

I used to be a PRS fanatic, but PRS went 99% CNC. PRS was great back in the 90s when PRS made all their guitars by hand. I'm a pure Roman aficiandao now. Puts PRS into an after thought. Aficionado

    New Guitar Day!!!

Thanks brothas. Needless to say I'm jazzed  - my first 7 stringer and it appears to be a keeper. I've always for years wanted to get a nice tobacco burst. Was a fair amount more than the Agile by about double but I'm diggin' it. I really think that Carvin is sometimes overlooked when they...

    New Guitar Day!!!

I wasn't very happy with the Agile 7 so I had this sweet Carvin DC727 custom made for me. Carvin f'n nailed it - this babe is simply beautiful. It looks even better in person! I bought a Carvin DC727. It's a beautiful tobacco burst with the killer Carvin electronics, top quality ebony finger...

Is there a difference in clarity/articulation in scale length for 7 string?

Interesting Konyouzd. I hadn't thought of that. I'm planning/thinking of going with XL110-7 to begin with. I use all D'Addario XL110 on my 6s and they are perfect for me. I'm not sure if a .059 will be good for standard 7 string tuning. Correct me if I'm wrong but most of the guys I've read...

Is there a difference in clarity/articulation in scale length for 7 string?

I'm contemplating 25", 25.5" (I know not much difference here) and 27". I play much lead as much as I play rhythm.

Is there a difference in clarity/articulation in scale length for 7 string?

Like to know your opinion on tightness and transition in tone and clarity between the two scale lengths.

My 7 String...what to have in pups?

Active or passive pups, and why? What's you brand of choice? Thanks.

Finally got the coin together - getting ready to pull the trigger.

Hey MobiousR, how do you feel about the active pups - tone & feel?

Finally got the coin together - getting ready to pull the trigger.

Seems like several of you don't like the active pups. Any particular reason why? I've never had any pups other than passive. I would have thought that the active pups would be a bit more aggressive/brutal...et cetera.

Finally got the coin together - getting ready to pull the trigger.

It's time. I have only one reservation. I have never purchased a guitar, electric or otherwise without playing it, holding it, examining it and looking it over very thoroughly. I really like the look and what information that I have gathered regarding the Agile Septor Elite 727 DNC EB Tribal...

    Hello Fellow Metal Heads!

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p> Hello Solodini. I state this with absolutely no disrespect to RUSH and Alex. It's just a pure observation. RUSH is RUSH and they are all well oiled machinery and can not do without all other members and...

    Hello Fellow Metal Heads!

Yes! Even though Alex is the weak link of the three, RUSH would not be the same without him.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> It's really a conundrum that RUSH has not been entered into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.
