Amazon.com: Ibanez RG7420 7-String Electric Guitar White: Musical Instruments $499.99 - leaves you money to swap the pickups if you want, or do you want a guitar that is no less than $1,000? Edge-Zero II-7 bridge
Thread bump but I love this tone. I can't seem to find the cab impulses you mentioned, the Recabinet impulses don't work with Vista 64 bit :( Do you have any alternatives?
I'm selling a guitar that is worth above $1000USD. I've posted an ad on craigslist that says "cash only" (it's the only way I've dealt with sales in the past). I feel that a potential buyer may be turned off (with good reason) by the fact that he/she must carry a small fortune in cash with them...
Some are "older" models, although the JP7's are still made alongside the newest JPXII 7's. If you can find one with the piezo, it makes for some very nice sounds mixing the piezo and magnetic pickups on the clean channel.
I second the damp climate part, my JP6 has the same issues with the backplate screws and the humidity here in Maryland, US is quite high (>50%) at most times over the summer.
I don't like them at all. I think you'd find a better playing/sounding guitar in a Yamaha solid top or even one of the lower priced Martins. Every Ibanez acoustic has felt extremely cheap when compared to other brands. That being said, Ibanez is still one of my favorite electric guitar brands.

I own a JP6 and I love the .09-.46 super light top/regular bottom for mine and I love the way it plays. I'm not sure if D'Addario makes a set like this for 7's but you might want to look into it because it makes soloing on the high strings so effortless while still retaining clarity in the lower...
Where does the B string attach? It looks like it's strung on the E string post but on the back of the headstock there's a tuning peg in the middle of the headstock? :spock::scratch:
