Thoughts on the Music Man Majesty?

I have the 7 black. I really didnt like the look when I first saw it but I still wanted to try one since it had a combo of things I like (wood combo, piezo,ss frets, great access, ect) as well as things I didnt have (non locking trem, piezo). I'm real happy with the cleans-sound great, i'm...

NGD! Tom Anderson 7 String Goodness!!

nice pickup, I'd been debating about buying that since it first appeared. I delayed because I already have two TA 7s and was thinking about either a Suhr or Vigier 7 (went with the Vigier-Adams vigier 7 in fact). Have fun with that.

    You guys might appreciate this....

Thanks guys. I feel very lucky to have these. I've always wanted a high-end 7 and things just worked out to where I could afford both. The first is a alder body with the "Bowling Ball" finish (// Tom Anderson Guitarworks \\) with heavy stainless steel frets. The neck is maple with rosewood. The...

Earvana compensated nut for 7 strings

Looks like this has finally come out:Earvana - Compensated Tuning Systems for Guitars For those like me who prefer guitars with the Buzz Feiten/Earvana adjustment this has been a long time coming unless you forked up the dough for a EBMM JP 7 or Vigier 7(if you could find one). It's the same...

    Vigier 7 string

I'd rate it up there with Suhr and Tom Anderson-of which I have both. The Vigiers with their medium frets and low action are the fastest necks I've played (6-string wise). If your used to jumbo frets (which I like) you may not care for them. It's funny, I'll play my Suhr STD. with Aldridge PU's...

    Vigier 7 string

I believe he used them exclusively up until he died. They do have very fast action (I have two 6-string vigiers) very low action with no buzzing.

    Vigier 7 string

I just noticed the trem also-think I'm going to pass. With the shipping and case-not to mention that it's 6-7 years old and will probably need a re-fret soon puts it into new guitar price. This is also not considering if anyone else bids on it !

    Vigier 7 string

Thanks -I saw him post on the Vigier forum also. I'm e-mailing him for some better pics. Question for you SirToastalot, how do you find the Vigier 7 vs other 7's you've played? I've owned JP 7's (sold-first editions without the comp. nut and new pickup), Schecter (neck waaay too thick), and IBZ...

Hey guys, giving you a early shot at a brand new JP7 in carbon blue pearl with piezo and the new compensated nut and matching headstock and dot inlays. I sent it in for adjustment on the nut two monthes ago and they couldnt get it intoated right so they replaced the neck and body-essentially a...

    I love my postman!!!

Nice ! I have the violin flat finish version. The Blaze Custom (b) and AN (n) sound really good to my ears. (edit) I also found a shop that will do the Buzz Feiten mod-that's next.

    New Ikebe Ibanez 7's

Here's a look at the Violin Flat colored one : ...on a side note, I got a e-mail from the main guy at Earvana (compensated nut company) that stated a 7-string version of the nut was being made for ESP (due in two months). Good news for those of us that enjoy the Buzz Feiten/Earvana tuning...

    Locking Tuners

No problems with my Planet waves tuners, and the cutting feature is nice-no more poking yourself with the end of the wire, certainly not a "gimmick" -but a good idea.

No love for the K7 ?

Saw this new K7 on e-bay (7390670238) for $899. Ended with no bids ! Damn ,I bought one a couple of months ago for much more ($1400-damn impulse buy  ) I know it's got the inlay but that's still a lot of guitar for the price. 'scuse me while I go look up patience in the dictonary :wallbash: .

    G.A.S., G.A.S., G.A.S....

Wow, I thought I was bad (2 IBZ RGAs,2 Parker Niteflys, various 7s, Wasburn N4) but your thinking of a fourth JP ? But if you play 'em why not. Although you might be on that slippery path Ernie something on the EB forum went down (30+ JPs  ). Personally I'd go for a Tobacco burst Morse, or...
