I believe he used them exclusively up until he died. They do have very fast action (I have two 6-string vigiers) very low action with no buzzing.

I just noticed the trem also-think I'm going to pass. With the shipping and case-not to mention that it's 6-7 years old and will probably need a re-fret soon puts it into new guitar price. This is also not considering if anyone else bids on it !

No problems with my Planet waves tuners, and the cutting feature is nice-no more poking yourself with the end of the wire, certainly not a "gimmick" -but a good idea.
