Thanks for the quick response. It looks like the high E side is recessed much farther in than the low B side; on the low B side the knife edge rectangle is fully visible above the body, whereas on the high E side, I can only see the top edge of it. Would your recommendation be to raise the high...

I got a used RG7620 recently, and I noticed this weird problem with the tremolo. When I push the whammy down, all the strings go floppy, except the high E. It stays tight, only tuned down to about a B. Any idea why this would happen? I tried searching around but couldn't find anything. I'm...

That was my first thought also...or some other type of interference maybe.

Almost all of my guitar recording experience is with the '57, and it hasn't failed yet. However, putting a condenser mic a couple feet out from the speaker is also really nice to add some low end smoothness.

Keep your eyes peeled for used stuff. Glue yourself to Craigslist. I once got a Carvin V3 for $400, which I later traded even for a 5150 half stack.

I have one... As people have mentioned, pups are "eh." Tremolo (not the new one) has done a nice job for the most part, but had some really odd issues once or twice that pretty much just fixed themselves. But...it's really pretty! Get one and mod it like crazy!

Thanks, I may end up replacing my TU-2 with that in a little while. Only thing is, I wish it WASN'T true bypass...I like for my tuner to serve as a buffer.

Agreed if you're playing metal. But, as mentioned before, more info about what you want to get out of it would help a lot.

I'm a big fan of using an MXR 10 band to tailor my sound a bit beyond what my amp can do. And a TS-9 is my standard boost. While I don't often use reverb, I do enjoy my DD-20 delay. But if that's a bit pricey, I've had some good experience playing with my friend's Digitech Hardwire Delay...

How's it going? Let's see, I've been playing something like 6 years. Wish I owned a 7 string, but so far, I haven't been able to afford one... So tell me, what are the benefits to being a part of this forum? I've tried to get into forums before, but never really did.
