I’ve heard good things about these, but if I was looking under $1k I’d get an Agile Pendulum, I’m already used to Agiles and I love the way they feel sand play. Thanks though!
I tune drop-E, and use an .80 there, but if Tosin and Javier can do drop-E on 27” with a .74, I figure I can manage :ok:
But yeah, Kiesel is looking better and better... now I just have to GET the job!
I did a lot pricing options on Kiesel’s last night (which is a fun rabbit hole to fall down!), I could keep it in budget as long as I didn’t choose the blue/purple color change finish
Ormsby’s seem to go in runs, yes? Heard great things about them, and I’d actually prefer a 28” low...
Might be taking a new job and doubling my income... so of course my first thought is to buy a new guitar!
What I’ve wanted for years is a really nice multiscale 8; I’ve got an Agile 828 I’m quite happy with, and a couple 7’s, but if I’m going to invest in another instrument, I’d...
@KnightBrolaire - Thanks! I will definitely check out your 6 string shootout for those Tridents; I didn’t care for the sample on the website, but there’s so many variables that go in to that, it doesn’t mean that much.
@Legion - I didn’t think about the Cepheus, which is silly given that I...
They’re very dark and loose feeling, especially down low (this guitar is in B standard, with 9’s). Of course, that’s relative to the PK’s, which are now in a 26.5” Agile (the other guitar is a 28” Agile 8 with the Lundgren-like stock pickups, so, yeah )
Anyway, I just really don’t like...
Basically, what the title says. The guitar is a late 90’s LTD; the body is basswood, and is fairly dark, pretty resonant, kinda loose in the bass. I had Painkillers in it, which worked surprisingly well, but could be a little harsh in the top end. I swapped them out for a set of Illuminators...
There doesn’t seem to be any way to remove the nut without removing the fretboard, but I’m no expert. I’ll hit up my guy and find out when/if he’s reopening, and go from there. Thanks!
I've got a late 90's LTD M-207 that I've upgraded pretty much everything on. It is (or WAS) a great playing guitar, and my first 7 so I'm kinda sentimental about it. Eventually, the truss rod nut socket got stripped/rounded, leaving me unable to adjust the action. I basically glued a 3mm allen...
Thanks!!! Indeed, the ‘melody’ part is tapped, mainly because it sounded smoother than picking it (which says more about my technique than anything else ) More is already in the works!
Thanks for giving it a listen!
Also, changing strings, tuning, and springs all together, you’ll need to take the time to balance the trem. Like @c7spheres said above, you can play with the number of springs, orientation, and the claw til you find the right balance (pun intended;))
As threatened in another thread: my debut EP is now live and available on all digital platforms (iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, etc), including eightfoldpathmusic.bandcamp.com!
:woohoo:
It’s a 4 song instrumental album; my intention was to tell the story of strangers fleeing to a new land, the harsh...
