This is my first build using parts from MJT and I am quite impressed with the results. The process was simple and painless (aside from the waiting - they even accommodated my off-menu color (Oxblood). I was tempted to pair this with a baritone neck, but decided a standard scale was in order. I...
I do a lot of midi, and wasn't primarily making rock music at the time, but I've been using Reason since v3 (not a strong recommendation as it's not primarily a DAW). I tried Reaper as a way to import bounced tracks for a while before Reason added audio, but that was cumbersome AF.
My Collision Devices Nocturnal doesn't power on with the rest of my board (I have a switch to turn on the power separately from being plugged in) - I either need to remember to unplug it when I'm finished or unplug and plug it back in after turning on the switch. Is there any way to solve for...
Warmoth order submitted, now to wait 6 weeks for the work to be done. Body, neck and pickguard all inbound. This will give me time to source the other components. I'm thinking Gotoh locking tuners + Mastery vibrato and bridge to round out the hardware.
Do you run your Afterneath in the loop or in front? I'm thinking of putting mine before my OD/Fuzz section and the Prelude after that section. Sunlight into Darkstar is amazing, I really like the Nocturnal as well. They're all so different in flavor of reverb.
I had a BAT Pharoah+Plumes into a...
I'm thinking of adding an Afterneath, swapping out the JHS Lucky Cat for the Prelude and adding a Fable before the Nocturnal. I also ditched the tap tempo as I wasn't using it as much as I had planned.
That's what I've been watching. I had an accepted offer on one, but the seller marked it as damaged in shipping before even sending it out and then ghosted.
I think I'm going to build an obnoxiously colored Warmoth Jazzmaster since I can't find any I want to buy with the specs I want at the prices people are asking. I already have some Lollar pickups ready to go.
I got to take the Chamonix out for it's inaugural test run. I'll need to pay more attention when focusing - I thought I had nailed the tilt on the second shot. Sloppy film handling has a number of scratches and dust bunnies. Though, I now want to replace my V500 with a V850 more than ever. :agreed:
I'm a fan of the few that I've tried (Emerald 8, Ceramic/Alnico Nailbomb 6, Ragnarok 6, and Polymath 7 sets). The only set I knew wasn't for me was the Juggernaut 8 set, replaced them with some Elysians and now all is right. I have a set of BKP Nantucket's for a build, but haven't gotten to use...
Do it all - the LED console would be a slick addition.
I also picked up some samples from EastWest, which is making want to get at least a 49-key to replace my 25-key controller. I'd get an 88 if I could find a way to get it to fit in my office without it being a hassle.
