Usb will do just fine. It seems like most pepole prefer to run a unit like this straight to the interface.

But i would recomend not using computers as said above. Personally i would recommend getting the lone 6 low down bass amp. It is around 200$ and has a xlr out in the back, that emulates a miced cab. Edit: sorry for double post

Hi i just wonder, how do bands like periphery do midi patch switching on the axefx? I know how the midi is set up in the daw, but what cable goes between the computer and the 3 axefxes? Also how do they make a whole set in the daw, and manually play the next song?

Could i run it like this?: Ipod -> 1 y splitter cable (one like you posted) -> 2 passive di boxes -> 2 xlr cables -> mixer Or you could just have a guy other than the sound guy to click play on the ipod. But dosnt all mixers have 1/4" inputs? All i have seen has it.
