    Why does everyone and their mother drop tune now?

    You're right haha. But thats why I drop tune. The difference in tension between the dropped string and the normal tension string gives a different feel then a balanced tension across. Its all psychological :lol: but thats why drop tune.

    It just sounds better. Chords sound bigger. The slight looseness of the string combined with heavy picking sounds bad ass. I had a friend who' drop the A string one step and the Low E 2 steps. I totally had no idea how to play in that tuning so thankfully we didn't form a band together lol...
