Glad you guys liked the vid. I almost did a cannibal corpse cover with this guitar, but I figured Pantera would work just as well. It was a bitch doing some of the bends on this guitar since the fretwork isn't exactly top notch quality on a $100 guitar :) Dave Z
Thanks for posting the link to my pics. I also have some videos on my site with the KxK in case you want to see the guitar in action here -http://www.zatuchney.com/video.htm Dave Z
Hello. I had previously posted some pics and videos of my custom 7 string KxK guitar in action, so I thought some of you might be interested in hearing it on one of my demo songs. I also experimented with reamping the rhythm guitar tracks with my Digitech GNX4 for this song, which is really...
Hello. I placed the order in May and received it in December. Time was never a concern for me, and I told Rob(the builder) to take his time with it. The guitar is HUGE.... I'm 6'1", and it makes me look like Angus Young when I play it... Thanks again for all of the positive...
Hello. The uper fret access is perfect, no problems getting all the way to the 24th fret. I had a lot of discussion with Rob about the placement of the p/u switch location, and to me this is in the perfect place as well. I never owned a V, so it's a little difficult playing it sitting down...
Guitar is done. Plays great, I'm very happy with it. I have to get used to the 27" scale length, but that's not a big deal. Pics HERE Videos HERE Dave Z
Hello! I had posted a topic on my KxK build process some time ago. Here's the link to my thread: Thread Guitar is almost done, going through wet sand/buffing stage and I will update the progress as I hear of more updates. By the way, I just ordered a custom 6 string Carvin as I have...
Nice... My build started in the end of May, so it takes time. I know he is pretty busy building a lot of custom orders, so my pics took some time to get updated as well but that's no big deal to me. Rob had to custom design a lot of things on my guitar, especially the placement of the...
You could get a guitar with those specs for much less, check out the custom guitar that is being built for me here - http://www.zatuchney.com/kxk Dave Z
Thanks to everyone for the feedback and advice. I was going to go with black and red, but decided black and silver might be better looking. As for the EMG's, maybe I will stick the 81-7 in the bridge since all of my other six string guitars have 81's in the bridge and I like that sound...
Thanks. Update - Fretboard and inlays are installed. http://www.zatuchney.com/kxk Two questions - Should I stay with the black w/silver bevel paint job, or keep it unpainted? Also, I have never used EMG's in a 7 string. I was going with the 707 for the bridge and the 81-7 for the neck...
Here are the specs and some pics of the building of my custom 7 string guitar from KXK guitar company http://www.zatuchney.com/kxk. I can't wait to get my hands on it! Dave Z
