Really? The strings I use now on my bariton have identical gauges (exept for the plains and the lack of a 0.084) and I have no issues with their tension, I rather like it even. Does this vary a lot between brands?

I have concidered doing that as well (altho I would then be using baritone medium 014-068) but I really like the tension of thick strings... I will be contacting my local guitar store next week on the topic.
