Thanks for the suggestions - I've always put a noise gate in front of everything else, I'll try putting messing with the signal change and see what happens. Pad switch def helped me boost the sound level and is greatly helping my overall mix. I totally forgot that the switch was there to...
Great video and playing! I really dig the sound you are getting from it going through that Engl. This is exactly the type of sound I'm trying to get out of my H308. I'm using a Pod HD 500 and finally starting to dial in a tone I like on it. I use mostly the "Treadplate" amp which is a Mesa...
Thanks for the tips. I messed around with cutting the bass freq out via EQ and that was a success. I'm a lot closer for sure. What are you using to boost, an over drive?
Ever since I got my ESP Ltd H308 I've been having a lot of trouble getting my tone dialed in on my Pod HD 500. Before getting this ERG I used the tread plate amp with my passive pickup six strings and all was good. My down tuned sixes sound killer through my old presets, but my 8 string with its...
How do you like the pickup configuration on that? I thought I would really miss neck pickup for solos above the 12th fret so I went with the H308 instead which has a more traditional pickup configuration. It was also a matter of not having many 8 strings in my area to try.
Here's a little something I'm working on. You can get an idea of the different sounds this guitar can get from this track: Solitude Pt 2 Sorry I have no idea.
I wanted to to test the 208 as well as the schecters but the music stores in my didnt have any and would have to special order it. You might want to think about going with the 338 if you are putting in passive pickups. I read somewhere that bolt on necks give you a brighter sound over set thru...
The neck is really nice, thin and easy to play, def thinner than a Les Paul. Bending seems fine, I bend a lot during leads and I have no problems at all. spacing is not an issue either, my picking technique has not changed at all. The pickups are great, I'll leave them in. I've had EMGs in...
I've been lurking these forums for a few weeks doing research on which ERG to buy and having bought a beautiful ESP LTD H308 yesterday I figured it would be a good time to finally join the community. After many weeks of late nights reading these forums, blogs and watching endless amounts of...
