Pretty much, i came straight from a de-tuned 6 straight to an 8 string so most of my playing is on the 7 string portion of the 8 string. Shredding on Drop A and then when its needed skip to the low E ;)

HNGD man. One question, is the tremelo able to drop tune without throwing the other strings out of pitch like the floyd rose? Or is it more of a fender style trem?

yeah man, thing is im doing a drop A tuning with a low E (EAEADGBe) on the 8 string so regular 10s wont really cut it :/

Is there anyway to get thick guitar strings (0.80 or thicker) locally in Australia. I've seen sites in the US but the rediculous shipping burns. If not, what is the cheapest sites that imports such thick strings?

go for an .80 dude. its pretty much perfect for my mates 27 inch RGA8. then after maybe 60-10. im also buying a RG8 and thats what im thinking for string gauge

well the least we can hope for is a 27 inch scale, non sig model for the esp 2013 line, might be a tad cheaper :/
