    I've had my 2027XVV since 2001 and was aware of the 2127X in matte black for the Japan market. I've kept a pretty close eye out for any of these. My 2 cents is it's a refin.

    I had the same concern as yours. I've only played one for a brief period of time, but it felt fine. Comfortable. I'm coming from a RG 1527, 7620 comfort level.

    Off the top of my noggin I can't recal ever seeing anything production like that. HSS are really, really rare in production 7's. Keep us posted!
