Yeah it still pops with no pedal in the loop but not quite as loud. I read something about DC voltage building up and then being released when the loop is switched on but i've never had that problem with any other amp.

So my brand new EVH head sounds great except for when I turn the effects loop on with the footswitch I get a loud pop. When I switch channels with the footswitch or with the front panel buttons I get a slight pop but not nearly as loud as the effects loop... Anyone else had issues with this...

Nice guitars man! I owned a Squier Stagemaster years ago with a Floyd Rose and I dropped a Dimarzio blaze custom in the bridge, sounded and played so good.

If I can stretch my budget to $700 I might check out one of the Jackson's, I like the look of the silverburst and I don't mind the 26.5 scale but I really would like to stay away from EMG's.

Nice! how does the neck compare to an Ibanez, thinner, thicker, rounder?

Mostly the lower end stuff, three different 7321's, two 321's, an s7320 and an arz307. maybe it's just my bad luck but i've ordered a lot of guitars and sent most of em back because of fret issues.

The thinness of the Ibanez rg7321 neck is not an issue it's just kinda flat on the back with big shoulders so it makes it feel really square. I have had so many issues with Ibanez fretwork I don't know if I would get another one.

I'm gonna be getting a new 7 string soon and my budget is between $600 and $700. I was looking at the Sterling Jp70 and few ibanez and ESP LTD guitars. Any opinions on whats the best bang for buck, build quality, neck profile?

I like the looks of the Ibanez a little better but it mainly comes down to the neck for me. I've never played a Jackson 7 string but every soloist sixer i've played has been awesome.

I'm torn between these 2 guitars, both are the same price and have almost the same specs. Any opinions?
