Hi, I am planning to get a noise gate to cut the noise for my metal tones, can anyone pls advise shall I go for Boss NS2, ISP or the MXR smart gate pls Many thanks!!
for delay I will vote either TC Electronic Flashback or MXR carbon copy. IF you're looking for dark and tight metal tone, I will vote for Amptweaker tight metal
I am a metal player, I didn't use separate noise gate since my amptweaker tight metal has a noise gate function, if I switch the noise gate off, there is slightly noise only, so far it's enough for me although the build in noise gate function from tight metal can only cut the noise slightly...
I am pretty struggling whether to get the ISP decimator or NS-2. One of my friend owned both noise gate and he told me that NS-2 is crap, he has sell the NS-2 and ISP all the way. I saw guitarist like John 5, Jame Root and Mick Thomson are using NS-2 instead, so I am not sure which one I should...

Apart from Joey (Murderdolls and Rob Zombie), Jim and Corey (Stone Sour), I am not sure whether other people like SIC, the clown etc have other bands or side projects really. But all members from Slipknot are genus. Wondering is SIC play hip pop music since he is a DJ?
thanks for your advise. I knew my grammar isn't perfect since I never study good when I was a student, but I am fully confidence with my spoken Eng though :metal:
u can turn on and off for the noise gate. If you're running a power supply, you can either use 9v or 18v, the different as I know is if you're playing at home with limited volume, then u can plug as 9v, if you use it on the stage, go for 18v. I have couple of distortion pedals like tight metal...
