Thanks for kind words. I've made some progess today, pics below. And about 'to do list': - removing finish from body, headstock and neck - done - plugging pots and switch holes and applying poplar burl veneer - done - applying ziricote veneer on the headstock - done - sealing the top veneer...
Hello! I decided to make some mods to a nice Korean made Ibanez I've got for cheap price not long ago on eBay. In the pictures below you can take a look at current stage of the work, I will post updates and progress in this thread. If someone is interested in my other projects and my...
@silverabyss it was Indonesian I am very happy with Schecter's sound and quality/craftsmanship, it's as good as on my LTD MH1000. Neck is a bit chunkier, but I think my huge hands will get used to it in no time. Overall - highly recommended!
Thanks for all input guys, it turned out that I got a crazy good deal on Schecter Damien Elite, brand new from shop, so I took my chance and bought it, gonna have it in 1-2 days.
That Washburn is a x50profe. In terms of pickups I'm gonna go with SH-6 + SH-2 set. In general, I prefer LTD neck to Ibanez, which a tiny bit too flat and wide, still can't decide, but I will try to find some similar Washburns in local shops and try them out if possible. Thanks for all posts!
Ibby has stock actives, LTD some Rockfield pickups, X50 comes without pups (and ofc in adequately lower price), but I'm gonna replace them anyway, so don't mind that.
Hello! I need a cheap guitar that won't leave my flat at all, will be used for home practice (Line6 Pod -> headphones) and some small-scale home recording. I've been looking through offers of used guitars here in Poland and so far I've encountered those mentioned in the title in good prices and...
Thanks for all help guys :) Katash, you really explained EVERYTHING :D I guess we will use one stereo mix for everyone except drummer. We have 3 aux in our mixer, so I believe it's fine. One wireless transmitter and 4 body packs (2x guitar, bass and vocal) will do the job, yes? We will use whole...
Glad to hear that WhiteWalls! That will make things easier. I think we can use 4 separate mixes, from aux 1-3 and main output. That's more than enough, I guess ;) About Carvin and other brands, we still haven't decided, we will probably order something at thomann.de as we live in Poland. First...
Thanks a lot guys, that covered what I wanted to know. So basically drummer needs headphones and amp and others need wireless sets. OK, sounds like a plan :D
Thanks for your advices GunpointMetal :) Well, still no clear enough :D We have the mentioned mixer with 3 separate monitor channels, so basically we need headphones amp + headphones/wireless in-ear sets plugged in there? And how do we deliver signal from our Pods into both mixers (one in...
Hi everyone! Me and my drummer decided to reactivate our old band, we have 4 people so far, and we want to focus on perfect live performances. We are going to use Pods HD and plug them in line. No power amps and no cabinets on stage. Same story with bass, preamp plugged in line. Now comes the...
It depends how you like it. In my old band we were making songs together on rehearsals, showing ideas and discussing them. In my current band, I just write things on my own, basic drums as well, I send that stuff to other guys, listen to their suggestions (usually 'awesome, keep it like this')...
Looks fine imo, had seen bigger canyons in fretboards that just played well :) And about that UK price, it's about 990$ am I wrong? I am getting more and more depressed :D
Agreed, I would consider 800€, but 940€ (from Thomann I believe) is way overpriced compared to US price. We'll see how it's going to be, so far we can only order from US.
My mate here in Poland has one already :) I QUITE figured it out, now it's dilemma with colour and finding a suitable person to help. And those dealers won't sell outside the US, it's all about some help from a 'third party' and avoiding custom fees here in PL. Sterling guitars are imo one of...
