So I just picked up my framus. Sounds effing awesome best tone I've ever heard . Boosting it with a Maxon od808 and running it through a tele with bare knuckles and a emperor cab it's biased to run e34l in stead of el34 I was wanting kt77 in it but the tubes in it sound good any suggestions

I never said Engls where dry I said to my ears a cobra sounds dry kinda like. 6505 thick lots of gain, but no actually I wouldn't even be trading my 6505 for it. My Mesa oversized rec cab and my Taylor acoustic for it

I'm not a huge fan of Engls they sound to 3d for my liking I like a dry sound and I feel the framus has it. I would obviously test it out exstensively before I traded

So I have an opportunity to trade for a Framus cobra. Lightly used with the blackface mod, I'm decently okay with the 6505 boosted with Maxon od808 but I hear the cobras are a very nice amp to have . Any pros cons I may be missing out on?

Just bought a bkp blackhawk. Have to say being a passive emg like pup it definately nails that , however I much prefer the aftermath to it. The aftermath has a mich tighter low end and a bit more bass response . The blackhawk nails lead solo tone. Great for standard metal just not for me.

I'd say save some extra dough and go bkp route. I've had three bkp after math Bridge pickups, and put either a dimarzio liquifire in the neck or a seymour jazz. The bkp is one of the tightest sounding pups I've heard but has a lot of Lowend bass also. With a relatively medium output. Blows away...

Well I hVe yet to put it on a scale , and haven't looked up specs but orange and Mesa cabs have v30s in them they weigh lIke 3 pounds more each so honestly at 120 I think is a fair estimate not really much worse than moving an oversized rec around. It's just bulkier .

i actually just picked up a emperor 6x12 with wgs reaper and wgs green beret. this thing is the tightest cab ive played. it really suprised me when i first played it

It weighs I think like 120 pretty heavy but has some nice wheels, I'll post some pics shortly. I was hesitant to get into it for the weight but after I heard it I quickly ignored any previous worries. Well worth it. Already convinced my other guitarist to Get one
